A couple promos and I've already hit my limit of the Strucker parents for the whole season.

Can someone just kill them already? And not make them helpful for the mutant cause. Nor make them mutants.
The trailer isn't a banger, but Polaris and her unprecedented Mutant bby makes my curiosity tingle.

I did laugh at "Don't do drugs." But I'm gonna need 10x more of that.

Why wouldn't they give Polaris an epidural? Why wouldn't they give Polaris an epidural? WHY WOULDN'T THEY GIVE POLARIS AN EPIDURAL?
Also if the problem is she isn't dilating, why not just deliver the baby by cesarean? They brought in a whole doctor with medical equipment and everything, I assume the advantage there is access to surgical equipment?

They brought in a whole doctor with medical equipment and everything, I assume the advantage there is access to surgical equipment? I was wondering the same thing. They could have easily come up with plausible, quick explanations why neither was possible but to not even broach it was weird. Also if it was psychological, surely the whole-ass vision for the future was unnecessary and Esme could have just adjusted her mindset in an instant?

what if the baby is dead and the cuckoos planted a psychic suggestion that it was not?

No machines, no metal.... probably makes it hard.

what if the baby is dead and the cuckoos planted a psychic suggestion that it was not? That was my immediate thought too. Mid-season reveal that she's been carrying a dead baby around like a sad penguin. They probably did it to Andy too. Then they find out what happened and blow up everyone. Still think they should have given her an epidural. That would have stopped the whole 'throwing metal around every time she has a contraction' issue. Obviously, they wanted that issue for #drama reasons, and they wanted a difficult delivery for the same reason, but they could have just said something vague and hand-wavey instead of things that have very clear solutions? Ever since that last season of crazy ex-girlfriend, I can't unsee the fact that absolutely no one ever gets an epidural--or seemingly any drugs at all--if they give birth in movies/tv. Even when it would make sense in the plot. I *feel* like this episode was written by man. Literally couldn't stop thinking that an epidural would solve everyone's problem, instead of having to find a secure building with no metal in it anywhere (lol like that exists).

what if the baby is dead and the cuckoos planted a psychic suggestion that it was not? I'd be surprised but only because the show is very committed to being middle-of-the-road. But now I need this.

Tbh I was not impressed by the writing. Pretty dull all around.

It didn't help that every major plot point was in the promos.
