You know what? I don't like the lack of subforums.

The Runaways show was nice. The central mystery remains a mystery which is a bummer, but at least parents aren't mega villains like in the comix. Kids are cute and Deanoru is the ship to end all ships. Kinda reminded me of Lost with the building mythology with the Wizard tech, PRIDE alliance, Jonah and Church of Gibborim. Hated White Hot Recuperation Room as a Kubrickean rip-off.

Hi new person! I decided to go with a new animal for now. Here's a fun question, how likely is it that my rent might go down instead of up? Before you laugh, my apartment complex was just bought and sold twice over the past 6 months. I just got notice that we're under new management again. I've only been here since July. Welcome back to the flock! Troop? Pod. Wait, what are we? I'd love to think of us as a flock cuz I love birds.. The similarities are there. We're snippy like birds, seasonal changes in activity and group structure, and we just migrated. Also preoccupied with colorful displays and songs. When I hear troop I think baboons, and I am not a fan. If the rent stays the same I should consider myself lucky...but the thought of it actually going down has now burrowed into my heart and I can't let it go.

When I hear "troop," I think of inept cartoon dogs.

Some thoughts on good/bad fictional romances based on the moral alignment system:
- Romances between two characters that that fall under the exact same alignment are boring - Romances where two characters align on the horizontal axis tend to lean towards being good/fun and are most likely to end up being shipped - Romances where two characters align on the vertical axis tend to be most risky/controversial and end up either being really bad (mostly as a result of #problematic coupling between a hero and a villain with one too many crimes under his or her name) or really good (a succesful redemption arc, plus all the excitement that comes with moral grey areas) - Romances where two characters don't align at all tend to fail entirely on both a writing and fan reception level

They are both lawful good. Star-Lord and Domino are chaotic good. Pete Wisdom seems a little more difficult to classify, as post-Ellis writers demonized him, but then in modern comics he's back to being somewhere between chaotic good and lawful neutral.

They are both lawful good. Do you think because of Colossus' bit where he takes on the mantle of Cyttorak for the "greater good", joins the Acolytes because he's sick of bullshirt, kills himself to cure the Legacy Virus, and things like this qualify him as Chaotic Good? Because he's always tripping over himself to do what he things is the most good thing in the moment?

With the exception of joining the Acolytes (which iirc was retconned as him being not right in the head at the time) he did all those things because They Were The Right Thing To Do. Colossus isn't enough of an individualist to be chaotic good. But as a result of Gillen and successors' development, and the Domino relationship, he definitely started loosening up a bit, as he was pushed to think more about what was good for him, rather than for society/other X-Men as a whole. Shockingly, pushing a character out of his comfort zone makes for good storytelling and can be a result of a good romance!
(Kitty was also pushed out of her comfort zone when she dated Star-Lord, but Humphries' writing was too Guggenheimy when it came to its cheesy and too rapid romance so it never quite worked)

What would Shadowcat think about Colossus' tryst with Domino? How would Kitty feel about this Murphy Brown revival? Also this.
