I mean.... Ok?

I wouldnt go this far, Id just say they coulda 1. used one more episode to wrap up the season 2. not have Dick stotyline be so decompressed. Like at the very least he could have donned the Nightwing suit by season end since we know thats where its headed.
It's weird bc I see mentions of a 12th episode for season 1 on various websites, wonder if it was cut short. Anyway Im excited for the future, that post credit teaser got me stoked.

Yeah demonic daddy is a real plus.
So there was supposed to be a nother ep but writers decided to end season on a cliffhanger which we can all agree was a bad decision.

I don't like the cliffhanger and I crave resolution! It wouldn't be so bad if 99% of the last episode wasn't spent in a fantasy world where nothing that happened has any bearing on the actual plot/characters so it's literally a waste of time, and we only check in with the actual plot and some of the characters in the last 2 minutes of the episode.

It's not that I hate extended flashbacks or bottle episodes or cliffhangers as narrative devices. It's that this is the second time (first being that 40 minute long hank and dawn flashback) the show has stopped all the action at a critical moment for an extended detour. And it's not even a GoT style cut to another character's story somehwere else that at least matters to the plot. The detours have literally been either to the (irrelevant to the situation) past, or a hallucination (and it's fairly clear none of it is real, so it's not even like there's a surprise at the end for the audience).

Don't let my griping fool you. I loved this season and I'm mostly frustrated that I will have to wait a year for more. A++++

Very disappointed and frustrated that my expectations weren't met, even halfway. I understand what the writers were trying to accomplish, but dialogue and pacing felt lackluster to me. I won't be tuning in for s2.
