Well I for one can't wait to find out the monster's terrible secret!
And it is a shame you didn't put Dean Fogg on the poll. Out of everyone in the cast, he's probably the one I'd be most like in a similar situation. I really admire his sanguine attitude towards complete and utter disaster and despair.

I'll admit I cried through the whole last act. I would have expected a gotcha at the last second (and they did shoot a fake ending that appeared to undo it so the whole rest of the cast honestly had no idea until this past weekend) if not for hints from reviewers who got advance screeners and even the showrunner acting like they were being vague enough but making it pretty obvious there was a big, permanent thing about to happen, and I really wish they would have just kept their mouths shut, although I still was kind of waiting for a gotcha anyway? Jason Ralph was interviewed and asked if it was his or the show's decision, and he kind of dodged the question.
Either way, the show's not going to be the same.
I know they tried to be sensitive about the implications re: his suicidal tendencies, but Penny-40 going, "Why would you have killed yourself and left these great friends?" was a bit tone deaf and I almost think it would have been better to just not even ask the question of if he was suicidal -- and not shown him deeply depressed for half a season leading into it -- if that was the best way they could think of to assure the audience he didn't just use this as an excuse to off himself.
After establishing his biggest regret was not, like, one of the times he's killed people, but rejecting Quentin, there really should have been something more to Eliot's reaction.
I want to hope Josh died in Fillory but then we'd also lose Fen, who I love. I'm guessing they avoided the Fillorian time-jump by escaping to Earth or some shit, but we likely lost Tick, Rafe, Abigail, Fray and Humbledrum, the last three of which I'd wanted to see again all season only to be continually disappointed.
They'd forgotten that time moves faster in Fillory since about mid-S2, now they decide to really lean into it again?
Speaking of Josh, I'm glad they had the good sense to leave his ass out of the campfire scene, at least. |

LOL at me trying to gauge how much of a warning, if any, a friend with mental health issues needs vs. not wanting to spoil it because their triggers are unpredictable and I don't want them to go in blind but it's also possible they won't be that upset and my tipping them off just ruins the ep for them for no reason.

I gave a vague warning and they flat-out asked if there was a death or rape and did want the head's-up, so.
I feel bad for Arjun Gupta, he's fielding the Twitterstorm like it's his responsibility.

There's not a lot there about next season but it sounds like they're really getting back on track with Margo. Particularly jazzed that it seems like they let her have a reaction to what Julia went through. Not something I'd have necessarily expected even before the partial rail-jump last season because they're barely in each other's orbits usually but it makes sense for them in a way the show stopped making sense for a little while there and I've wanted them to interact more for ages and still feel cheated from the 4.11 promo still that ended up being from a five-second bit in a montage of Margo telling the same story over and over. |
