Im just gonna hold off trusting a police department that has a history of torturing black men and was revealed to be running a black site in their city just a couple years ago. Not that its completely unbelievable he'd make that up, stuff like that has happened in the past.

If she was genuine she wouldnt backpedal in fear that her movie which is gonna make a shitload of money anyway might suffer bad reviews. More performative hollywood bs. Its just an act curated by disney for pr. This isn't really back-pedaling given what she actually said in the original interview and the context of it, IMO. |

I think there is a LOT going on that we're not hearing. I don't know who exactly to believe, but I find it difficult to believe that an actor who's playing what I understand to be one of the most important roles and maybe a fairly popular one would do something like this instead of mobilizing fandom in some way if it was really "this actor wants more money and isn't getting it." We need some much deeper investigation from news outlets besides simply reporting what they're told. |
