Main reason I'll eventually check it out is cause Emma Dumont was at the premiere.
I've been watching Vikings. And I watched sharp objects (which was an intense watch toward the end) a couple weeks back.

Locke & Key is fucking amazing I'm scared to check it out cuz I heard they basically took all the Lovecraft and scare out of it. What is the troof. I only watched the first episode but the tone was all off from the first second of the title sequence. Less tension than a Disney Channel Halloween special from the 1980s. The Lovecraft is so much taken out of it that they literally changed the town name. There is a scene with Nina towards the end of the episode so dumb I can't get over it. |

The biggest of eye rolls from people judging things after only watching one episode.
It gets plenty dark as it goes on. It’s not very silly or light at all. My only complaint was that they crammed a lot of material in from the comic into one season.

Anyone I've seen acknowledge the sheer dumbassery on display in the first episode felt the level of dumbassery was more or less consistent throughout the season, and the level I witnessed in that single episode made me hate television and locks and keys and mirrors and Ben on Falling Skies* and Abby on Scandal and film Iceman just through association so I know Enough.
*If being a Falling Skies character in the first place didn't accomplish this, really, nothing should have been able to.
