Arc conclusion

Meh. It's better than PSB but there's barely a plot holding this thing together. I do appreciate that it's very character-driven, so I'm sure Jubilee fans really enjoyed this. And Noto makes everything look better than it deserves.

Arc conclusion

This story is a T-R-I-P in this post-HoXPoX world. Otherwise, it's a fun enough diversion. It gives some long forgotten characters a time to shine and it doesn't deviate too much into CC's regurgitated plots that only he cares about. Should've used characters that weren't Madrox though. He sucks, didn't do anything and he was still alive at the time anyway.

- I love how the excuse they made for Wanda’s crimes isn’t “she went crazy because of her grief” but “she was sad, so she specifically sought out Doom to gain an extremely dangerous power-up”

- The only joy I found throughout all this is that his shitty fans have been on suicide watch for a decade because Marvel never put that loser in a comic again

- That Wanda/Doom relationship ended as abruptly as it started

- Wiccan basically absolving Wanda with the king of all whataboutisms

- Too many stories that end with every hero fighting an all-powerful Doom
- Read this story, then read Uncanny Avengers right after and Marvel at Wanda’s complete 180 when it comes to her guilt

- This 9 issue comic began shortly after Second Coming ended and finished a week before AvX began
- They haphazardly kill Kid Vision because real Vision was back and Iron Lad had to become Kang

This was bad but it was a GREAT hateread. 10/10, more shitty comics like this. Fuck all these characters.

The real gag about Psylocke XForce "arc" is that she has always been okay with killing. She wanted to kill Havok in one of her first appearances. It was just never emphasized bc it wasnt a big deal to her morally.

- Remember how rare Jean appearances were in 2010
- Placing teen Emma at a point where the X-Men have already formed puts an insane amount of strain on the timeline
- Also yet another unnecessary Emma-related retcon

- Why won’t the let Trance do something

- There you go, Cyclops would die for humanity
- Gotta retcon in Cyclops being destined to lead mutantkind

- I wrote down a bunch of continuity errors that I had to remove because the X-Men get mindwiped at the end

Arc conclusion

More filler nonsense. Literally everything is filler now. but worse, they all also tell the exact same story (Utopia is attacked, the X-Men do their signature moves, Cyclops has a plan). These are all completely forgettable stories not unlike the Resurxion era. There is no progress being made, it's just *stuff happens*. At least current Emma didn't cry, which is an improvement for Yost.

X-Men Legacy #242

Consider how Carey's X-Men run started with long, elaborate plotlines and now he does stories about X-Men failing to rebuild San Fran as one of their own is attacked. That's the whole plot! How the mighty have fallen. I don't care for Hellion or mind-controlled Karima, so this two-parter is a dud. I guess Carey was stalling for AoX.

X-Men Legacy #244

- lol do any of these events Blindfold foresees even come to pass
- I presume all these hints Death Gambit is throwing are towards Legion rather than future plans
- I’m sure Nemesis is doing a great job with Legion
- Oh, I guess the tentacle monster is what Death was talking about

Arc conclusion

I'm sure at the time it was nice to have a Blindfold-centric issue, but in a post-Legion Legacy world, this doesn't do much for me. Again, Carey is stalling for AoX, so we just get a meandering issue in which only the Legion part and the final page matter. lol Death Gambit never gonna show up again.
