I wanted to like Us, but there were so many plot holes, y’all Same. I'm trying to not be nitpicky because it's not like vampires and zombies and werewolves make any sense either, but I have so many questions. And some of the plot holes would be so easy to fix? It's almost like he never had a second pair of eyes on the screenplay after he wrote it? And then since he wrote, directed, and produced it, there was no one else to say, "This is good, but what about...?" Like, {Spoiler}
WHO TAKES CARE OF THE RABBITS? Who feeds and waters them? Why didn't other Lupita tell everyone she switched them? If they're supposed to be 'tethered' then why do they spend almost the entire movie walking around, not mirroring their body doubles? Why didn't that little girl just escape back up the escalator from the begining? How did she learn they were all put down there by the government? I have so many questions! {Spoiler}
On the not telling part, I figured Red was so young that she eventually forgot she was the original and came to believe she was the doppelganger. Her whole plan only works from the angle that she believes she's leading a doppelganger uprising. Doesn't really work if she sees herself as the original that got unjustly thrown in with the doppelgangers. The rabbit part is a good question though, as it's made clear that the study was eventually abandoned. Not mirroring could be assumed to be an effect of Red's influence on them. Little girl not escaping back up the escalator could've been the influence of being down there and mirroring the doppelganger; only possible to switch back with close proximity. |

I know multiple places to commission art, and same if I really wanted to commission writing, but I've never run across anyone doing it with music. I did a quick Google search last night and found random sites listed that mostly do for stuff like weddings, which isn't what I have in mind. |
