90s kids, which one was best? Medabots, Shinzo, Monster Rancher or Flint Time Detective? ⛔80s kids don't interract⛔ None of those was as good as Reboot, which wasn't as good as Zoids, which wasn't as well thought out as Road Rovers, which couldn't hold a candle to Garfield and Friends. Next question. Where does beyblade fit in all of this? Or is it more along the lines of Yu Gi Oh, Duel Masters etc. Asfhdhsjxbsks remember Duel Masters its like they didnt even TRY with that one. I gave up on Beyblade real fast but I rlly liked it for a short while. Where's teddy to weigh in on all of this? LP, opinions? I liked Duel Masters well enough because it didn't take itself too seriously. Comparing the pathos of Yu Gi Oh to Beyblade is an insult. Duel Masters was like the Ouran High School Host Club of those shows in that it was a send-up of the "genre". Unfortunately, they forgot to give Duel Masters a plot, but whatever, kids will watch anything. Beyblade was dumb. I've actually downloaded all seasons of Slayers last week but I've only watched the first episode because I'm writing my fucking master's thesis. In all seriousness, Slayers is my favorite 90's anime and remains one of my favorite shows period. I can't say enough good about it. (Also I'm pretty sure most of it is on youtube? It used to be on Netflix. Also, would you mind writing mine too, I'm way behind.) I was shamefully very invested in Yu-Gi-Oh. I have no shame about my investment in Yu Gi Oh. Long after I stopped watching the show I was still buying the cards and playing the game. The only thing I'm the slightest bit shameful about is that I lost my pokemon and yu gi oh card collections some time in my teen years. |

In all seriousness, Slayers is my favorite 90's anime and remains one of my favorite shows period. I can't say enough good about it. (Also I'm pretty sure most of it is on youtube? It used to be on Netflix. Also, would you mind writing mine too, I'm way behind. In that case SDA is obligated to watch with me. It's not on Netflix. I got a torrent that had all the series (including the ones from a couple years), plus the movies and OVAs. And no way am I gonna write anyone else's thesis, my own is giving me enough of a headache (it's about your beloved North Carolina!) |
