I think it'd have worked if instead of flopping round like idiots during the Terrigen plot, they were sent off to space and we had had an "X-Men as immigrants/refugees" storyline. Then again, that might not have been handled very well either.

exactly remender need can should and must fuck off. And the XMen as a metaphor for refugees is brimming with story potential its just Marvel creatives really arent abt that life and putting the work in to tell stories abt minority groups beyond plattitudes.
