First it was something about pronouns (I think her stance was randos asking everyone what their preferred pronouns are can make trans people more uncomfortable than someone assuming the wrong gender, and nonbinary people took offense to that?) and now she had a transmedicalist in one of her videos.

I didn't realize the pronouns thing was ContraPoints. I remember the claim behind it though, that asking for pronouns is somehow on par with doubting their transness or calling it into question and assuming the wrong gender would somehow mostly be uncommon or seen as an innocent mistake.
Honestly, the combo makes me think of this in the same manner as Pewdiepie's racism and his attempts to play those incidents off as misunderstandings or things taken out of context. Also how AVGN had AlphaOmegaSin on his show (which immediately killed me watching anything of his again).

I hadn't heard about the pronoun thing. I was seeing people saying contrapoints is truscum (which I then had to look up) and was confused because she was pretty critical of that point of view in one of her videos? I haven't seen the latest ones though.

I was seeing people saying contrapoints is truscum (which I then had to look up) and was confused because she was pretty critical of that point of view in one of her videos? I haven't seen the latest ones though. When I first saw the word truscum (which frankly I never saw until I think yesterday), I wasn't sure if it's supposed to be read as tru-scum or trus-cum. Still don't know for sure actually. I assume it's the first because the second would just be oddly perverse. |

It was surprisingly heartfelt, and had some great emotional beats. I teared up a little in the theater. Kaiolino apparently universities in your country have therapeutic graves for people to lay in? Fringe, they annouced an X-Men/Fantastic Four mini by Chip Fun Zdarsky. That's why I think it's the second one. I finally saw Hustlers today. I knew I'd like it, but I thought it would just be a fairly superficial ra-ra girl power, #feminism, stick it to the man kind of thing. It was surprisingly heartfelt, and had some great emotional beats. I teared up a little in the theater. Kaiolino apparently universities in your country have therapeutic graves for people to lay in?
