Well it's supposed to be fun. Surely a Dragonball fan would understand the simple joy of reaching a new power level with a fun new color scheme and a cool new transformation sequence. The downside is you lose the item slot because they have to hold the stone. Just think of it as a status boost item/move. That's essentially what it is.

Came back to my home hellhole to find our pre-eminent alt right (and polling) leader in a Houellebeqc related (but also not really because gaslighting) scandal and realized the real France was in our hearts all along.

There was a yellow vest in our rental car.
We have our own yellow vest movement though, but it’s only a handful of people. Our politicians were still terrified enough of French happenings (the leader of the “centre right” party even went to a Parisian banlieu for “research” or whatever) that the movement’s leaders were immediately invited for a personal convo with the PM. But they performatively refused to shake his hand, which led to them losing the sympathy of horny mainstream media types and some yellow vests split off and became the orange vests because they still value civility and respect and I wish I was making this all up.

I havent been to any of the protests bc i know i'd get carried away and try to **** a *** and also bc the whole thing is extremely white middle class centric even when adressing police violence the racial component is never brought up but i feel like they have done sum good things like ive seen several videos of fascists getting dragged out of protests by civilians. Obviously starting such a movement and declaring it apolitical is idiotic and unsustainable but im fine with them wrecking havoc every saturday while i sit back and watch them get teargassed like they did for us in 2005 and 2009.  |

Video game movie adaptations suck because writers try monopolize on the appeal of the game play than the actual storyline. Assassin's Creed, Prince of Persia, Mortal Kombat (though I love those movies), Dead or Alive, Hitman, Tekken.
There are those that just had a shitty script but mostly I think these adaptations fail due to studios not understanding they can't replicate the actual game on screen. They need to focus on the concept and script.
