I'm probably not going to watch it for awhile. I still haven't watched 13th. Same. I'm more than familiar with this story from over the years but in general, for me, It's exhausting having to almost constantly black stories revolve around our mistreatment. Of course this and other docu-shows/movies are important to tell and keep telling but damn it drains you A LOT. Especially if you already grew up on these tales as they happened or heard about them through the community or your family. I'll watch this docu-drama eventually, but not now. Now I just need to see black people winning even if it is just a work of fiction. |
